John Mellencamp, MMEAEH (2012), Oil on canvas, 30” x 24” (Note from CH: This looks like Meg Ryan.)

OMG. Do I LOVE John Mellencamp’s oil paintings? Yes I do.

I was doing some data entry, listening to Howard Stern interview Mr. Mellencamp, and John mentioned that he paints. So I went to Mellencamp’s website and viewed his paintings.

Mellencamp also sang some songs on Stern’s show, and his voice is so raw and beautiful.

Thanks for the great interview, Howard!

John, your art is so inspiring! Thank you!

I’ve just been to John’s site and I agree his paintings are wonderful.
Looking at the top painting, MMEAEH may well stand for Margaret Mary Emily Hyra, Meg Ryan’s birth name.
